FRAMINGHAM – I am currently serving on Active Duty in the United States Army, and I cannot vote for Janet Leombruno for Framingham City Council at Large due to my location, but I feel like I would be doing the Community a disservice if I did not send my support for her.
On a personal level, I have known Janet since I was a young kid attending Walsh Middle School. Growing up, Framingham baseball was bigger than ever.
Janet was out there behind the plate catching fastballs from her son and other members of the team every game that was played, while all the other parents sat in their foldable chairs talking about David Ortiz’s walk-off homerun from the night prior.
It was hard to ever find a moment where Janet wasn’t juggling multiple phones and sending emails while making us kids breakfast on a Saturday morning.
She is the busiest and the hard-working person I have ever met. This may sound like small words in support of the position she is running for, but it shows the impact she makes on everyone around her.
For me, Honorably Serving 8 years in Active Duty, having completed 3 tours overseas, Janet is one of the few people in my life that made a large impact on the outstanding individual I have become today.
In closing, Janet above all others, is the next Council at large that the City of Framingham needs to have simply because of the impact she has made on the community over the years, back when she was just a mother coaching baseball.
