Framingham Bay State Carey Division Champions

FRAMINGHAM- The Framingham High boys soccer team is the Bay State Conference Carey Division regular-season champions.

The Flyers have also qualified for the MIAA post-season tournament,

Yesterday’s 1-0 win over Brookline at home clinched the Carey Division title.

“The game was extremely competitive and well played. Framingham put forth their most complete team effort of the year,”said Coach Jon Wood.

The goal was scored on a great effort play by senior Gabe Padilla late in the first half. Junior Aiden Trierweiler assisted on the play.

Senior captain Ben Oberg recorded his seventh shutout of the season in the title-clinching game, said Wood.

“Defensively Chris Lopez and Shay Ingham were outstanding at outside back,” said Coach Wood.

“Anthony Moraga was equally outstanding at midfield controlling the pace and coming up with several key defensive stops,” said Coach Wood.

“Today’s effort was worthy of a championship game and the boys got what they deserved,” said Coach Wood.

The Flyers close out the regular season Wednesday with a nonleague match in Sutton.

The Flyers are 11-2-4 under head coach Dan Avery.
