FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested a man at Stop & Shop Friday night, October 11, after he tried to rob the Citizen’s Bank inside the supermarket on Temple Street.
Police were called to the 19 Temple Street store at 5:45 p.m., and arrested Saro Bedian, 37, listed as homeless 10 minutes later.
Bedian went to a teller at the Citizen’s Bank inside the Stop & Shop and demanded money.
Bedian told the bank employee he wanted $30,000. He told the employee they had 5 minutes to turn over the cash.
He had no weapon, according to police.
He was arraigned today, October 15 at Framingham District Court.
Judge Jennifer Stark held him on $5,000 bail.
