Framingham – As part of their long-term expansion project, the Summit Montessori School has decided to put its 281 Pleasant Street office building on the market for sale.
Situated at the corner of Pleasant Street (Route 30) and Mill Streets, the building was custom built in 1978 to house a law office.
The two-story building was designed to fit with the neighborhood aesthetics
and to convey a professional facade utilizing large fluted columns at the main entrance.
Recently Summit Montessori School received permission from the Framingham Planning Board to move forward with its expansion projects, which include the addition of a two-classroom “toddler house” and eventually a gymnasium and community space.
Summit has listed the property for sale with Cheryl Tully Stoll and Marlene Aron of Metrowest Commercial Real Estate.
The building sits adjacent to the school’s campus. Current Board Chair Kristina Davis, said, “Proceeds from the sale of the office building will enable us to expedite the first phase of our planned expansion, the addition of a toddler house.”
Summit Montessori School, founded in 1996, admits students between the ages of 18 months and 12 years and holds accreditations from the American Montessori Society and the Association of Independent Schools of New England. It offers year-round Montessori programming for toddlers and
preschoolers and school-year programming plus enrichment for elementary-aged students.
The property, including the 4,924 square foot office building, is listed for $649,900.
Tully Stoll said, “the building is well suited for a law firm, a technology company or any other type of business interested in a convenient and easily accessible location. It offers a large parking lot, generously-sized conference rooms, open areas and the potential for extra income from a second office
unit with its own entrance.”
