5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Tuesday, October 15, 2019

1 Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker will be in Framingham today for three events.

First, the Governor will host a roundtable discussion on school safety with state leaders and Framingham Superintendent of Schools Bob Tremblay.

Then, he will attend a ribbon-cutting for the new Sanofi Genzyme manufacturing plant this afternoon with Mayor Yvonne Spicer.

Finally, Baker will attend a campaign event for City Council candidate Janet Leombruno at the Framingham Elks lodge. The event is open to the public.

  • Framingham High girls swim & dive team has an away meet against Acton-Boxborough High at 4 p.m. today.
  • Framingham High boys soccer hosts Wellesley today at 3:45 p.m.

  • Framingham Council on Aging is meeting today at 1:30 p.m. at the Callahan Center
  • Framingham School Committee’s Racial Equity Subcommittee meeting at City Hall at 7 p.m.
  • Framingham City Council is meeting at 7:15 p.m. Blumer room in the Memorial Building

4. The Friends of the Callahan is hosting a discussion on travel tonight at 6 at the Callahan Center for ages 55 and older. learn about trips planned for 2020.

5. According to the Mayor’s public schedule,  Mayor Yvonne Spicer is scheduled to attend the Sanofi ribbon-cutting event.
