FRAMINGHAM – More than 350 seniors registered for Senate President Karen Spilka’s annual senior health and wellness fair at Keefe Technical High School today, October 12.
Framingham Public Health Nurse Kitty Mahoney said she and the Medical Reserve Corp attending the event gave out three times as many flu shots at the event than at last year’s event.
The goal of the Senior Health and Wellness Fair is to provide a forum for MetroWest seniors to learn, ask questions, and enjoy a fun day out.
The program included workshops and informative sessions for seniors, age 55 and older.
More than 75 booths provided information on health and wellness topics ranging from preventing falls, to dental health, to decluttering your home. Medical screenings and flu shots also were available.
SOURCE will post more photos from the event next week.
