Traffic Alert: Framingham Road Construction October 6-12, 2019

FRAMINGHAM – The following is a list of road construction projects in Framingham, the week of October 6. The list comes from the City of Framingham, but includes city, state, and utility projects.

All road work is weather permitting and is subject to change.

Beaver Street Bridge: Utility companies will continue re-locating overhead wires on Beaver Street. Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect minor delays.

Harrison Street Gas Main Relay (Eversource Gas): ersource Gas will continue installing gas main on Harrison Street. Expect minor delays.

Hollis Street Water Main Project – Located near a portion of Bates Road Extension & Thayer Street A city-hired contractor will continue installing water main on Bates Road Extension. Expect minor interruptions at times.

Hospital Streets – Learned, Evergreen, Thurber, and Myrtle Streets – Sidewalk & Road Improvements: Crews will begin lower utility castings in anticipation of paving. Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Jodie Road Gas Main Relay (Eversource Gas): Eversource Gas will continue installing gas main on Jodie Road. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect minor delays at times.

Lincoln Street Gas Main Relay (Eversource Gas)” Eversource Gas will continue installing gas main on Lincoln Street. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Lindbergh and Hampshire Rd. Water Main Replacement: The Water Division will continue to install water main on Hampshire Road and Lindbergh Road. Expect minor delays.

North Concord Street Road & Sidewalk Improvements: Punch-list items. Expect minor delays. Miscellaneous pavement markings to be applied on Sunday morning, 3:30 AM – 8:00 AM.

Salem End Road, Badger Road, and Gates Street Intersection Improvements: Intersection improvements continue. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect during the day time hours. Expect delays at times.

Salem End Road Bridge Rehabilitation: Bridge rehabilitation continues. Expect minor delays.

Union Ave Utilities (between Beech St. & Proctor St.): A city-hired contractor will continue installing water and sewer main. A detour will be in effect during working hours, Monday-Friday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM. Expect delays. Periodic closures of the following side streets may include: Henry St., Lexington St., Pearl St., Sanger St., and William Welch Way.

Union Ave Southbound traffic will be detoured down Lincoln Street to Concord Street. Union Ave. Northbound travel only on Union between Proctor Street and Lincoln Street.

Worcester Road Eastbound/Rt.9 East – Water & Sewer Improvements: Nightwork: Sunday (night) – Friday (morning), 9 PM to 5 AM Two crews will continue to install water and sewer main. Construction will occur between 328 to 150 Worcester Road. The right lane on Rt. 9 East will be closed to traffic during working hours. Please use caution if you are traveling through the area.
