UPDATED: Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Route 20

MARLBOROUGH – A pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 20 this evening, October 3, in Marlborough.

Marlborough Police and Marlborough Fire were on scene for hours.

The pedestrian was struck after 6:15 p.m., between the Mineirão Market and Wildwood Steakhouse, as that is where the road is closed.

The man struck was 51. Witnesses said it was a UPS driver who was hit by the vehicle.

Police have not released the identity of the man pending notification of his family.

Witnesses said the SUV driver remained on scene.

The crash is being investigated by Marlborough Police, the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council’s collision reconstruction unit and the Middlesex district attorney’s office.
