5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, September 30, 2019

1 There is no school today for Framingham Public School students, Keefe Technical students, and Christa McAuliffe Charter School students, due to the Jewish holiday.

Saint Bridget School students have classes.

Due to the Jewish New Year, Flyers sports team are not in action today.

2. Due to ongoing construction in the area, the intersection of Union Ave. and Lexington St. will be CLOSED today.

To use the Main Library parking lot during the closures, please enter via the intersection of Lincoln Street and Lexington Street. A police officer will be available to assist with traffic flow.

3. With no school today, the Framingham Public Library’s new SparkLab is holding a workshop on how to make suncatchers at 10 a.m. The SparkLab is located at the main Framingham Public Library.

4. The Sports Fanatics group will meet at the Callahan center today 10 a.m. This group is for the true sports fan who loves talking about the teams, athletes, weekly games. The Patriots win over Buffalo will likely be a discussion point.

5.. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will hold an office hour for individual City Councilors this afternoon.

Over the weekend, Mayor Spicer spoke at the Massachusetts Women of Color Coalition in Worcester.

She also attended the OUT MetroWest gala, which was not on her publci schedule.
