UPDATED: Ashland Man Arrested On Assault with Knife and Baseball Bat

FRAMINGHAM – An Ashland man was arrested by Framingham Police, after two men who knew each other, got into an argument and fight at 3 a.m. after drinking.

Police arrested Javier Baez, 33, of 17 Fruits Street of Ashland at 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17.

He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife), assault and battery (baseball bat), confinement, malicious destruction of property under $1,200, and witness intimidation.

The men were known to each other, and were drinking in a Framingham apartment, when they got into an argument, explained Framingham Police Lt. Patricia Grigas.

At some point, Baez, swing a knife at one of the three men in the apartment and cut the man’s hand, Lt Grigas said.

Ar another point, Baez swung a baseball bat at the man’s head, said Lt Grigas.

Baez threatened the guy and wouldn’t let him leave the apartment, according to the police report.
