FRAMINGHAM – Massachusetts Lt. Governor Karen Polito and the Massachusetts Commission of Public Health will be at MetroWest medical center on Tuesday to discuss the current threat of EEE from mosquitoes.
Senate President Karen Spilka is also expected to attend the event at the Medical Arts Building on Lincoln Street on September 17 at 11 a.m.
Secretary of Health and Human Services Marylou Sudders, Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Kathleen Theoharides, Department of Public Health Commissioner Monica Bharel, Department of Agricultural Resources Commissioner John Lebeaux, Department of Public Health State Epidemiologist Dr. Katie Brown and local officials are expected to participate in a discussion regarding ongoing efforts to address Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) in the Commonwealth.
The one-hour event will include presentations from Massachusetts Commissioner of Public Health and Massachusetts Commissioner of Agriculture on the current status of EEE, including aerial spraying.
