Harrod Fastest For Framingham; Flyers Fall in Home Opener

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls cross-country opened its season with a meet against the Wildcats of Milton High at home at Farm Pond Park.

Senior Kirsten Harrod was the fastest Flyer, but the first seven runners across the finish line were all Wildcats.

The Wildcats won the meet 15-50.

Editor’s Note: In cross-country scoring the lowest score wins the meet.

Senior Ava Duggan was the fastest runner on Wednesday at 22:03 minutes for the 5,000-meter course

Milton sophomore Norah Affanato was second across the finish line in 22:15 minutes. With Wildcat senior Grace Sullivan third at 22:15 minutes.

Harrod crossed the finish line at 23:19 minutes.

Framingham senior Paige Fisher was second for the Flyers, and 10th overall, at 23:47 minutes.

Sophomore Emma Rothwell finished 11th overall at 24:27 minutes.

Senior Tess Robinson was 13th overall at 25.30 minutes.

Freshman Maya Aylesworth was 14th overall at 26.39 minutes.

The Flyers are no 0-1 this season.

The next meet is September 18 in Walpole.
