Framingham & Wellesley Battle To 1-1 Tie

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High School boys varsity soccer team tied Wellesley 1-1 today in an extremely hard fought match.

“Senior captain Ben Oberg was phenomenal in goal saving two penalty kicks and numerous other chances in close,” said coach Jon Wood.

The Flyers trailed 1-0 at the half.

Anderson Cardona tied the game at one apiece in the second half after receiving a nice cross-field pass from captain Nicky Matias, said Wood.

“Defensively Oberg led the way. Outside back Chris Lopez was strong all day on the ground and in the air,” said coach Wood.

The Flyers host Braintree on Tuesday September 17 at 3:45.
