ASHLAND – A Framingham man was arrested after he rammed his vehicle into an Ashland cruiser Wednesday, according to police.
Framingham Police Officers started to chase the driver, after he was caught running a red light around 1 p.m. He later crossed community lines into Ashland.
Framingham stopped pursuit and radioed the vehicle information to Ashland Police.
Jeffrey Beale, 52, of 22A Arsenault Road of Framingham, later crashed his vehicle into an Ashland police cruiser, after going on a high-speed chase in that community.
The police officer was not injured.
The cruiser sustained extensive front-end damage.
Beale’s Ford white sedan was a rental. Inside the vehicle was stolen landscaping equipment, cocaine and a knife, according to police.
Beale was with assault with a dangerous weapon (car) on a police officer, driving to endanger and failing to stop for police.
He was scheduled to be arraigned in Framingham District Court on Thursday.
