Traffic Alert: Road Construction in Framingham Week of September 8

FRAMINGHAM – The following is a list of Framingham, state, and utility road construction in Framingham.

All work is weather permitting.

Beacon Street Paving & Sidewalk Replacement: Crews will continue excavating sidewalks and remove and re-set curbing.A one-way and/or two-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect during the day. Please seek an alternate route. 

Beaver Street Bridge: Utility companies will continue re-locating overhead wires on Beaver Street. Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern in effect. Expect minor delays.

Central Street Utilities: A Town hired contractor will inspect drain and sewer pipes on Central Street closest to Edgell Road. A one-way and/or two-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect during the day. Police detail officers will be on-site.

Edgell Road/Central Street Intersection Utilities: Night Work: Sunday (night) – Friday (morning), 7 PM to 5 AM
Crews will continue installing sewer main on Edgell Road. Edgell Road (between Central St. and the Sudbury River Tennis Club) will be closed to through traffic during working hours. A detour plan will be in effect. Please seek an alternate route.

Fountain Street Roadway Improvements: Punch-list items to be completed, fence installation, permanent pavement markings, and driveway apron adjustments. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect during the day time hours. Police detail officers will be on-site.

Lincoln Street Gas Main Relay (Eversource Gas): Eversource Gas will continue installing gas main on Lincoln Street. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

Lindbergh and Hampshire Rd. Water Main Replacement: The Water Division will continue installing water main on Lindbergh Rd. Expect minimal delays.

North Concord Street Road & Sidewalk Improvements: Miscellaneous sidewalk work will continue. Landscaping will begin. A one-lane alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Salem End Road Bridge Rehabilitation: Bridge rehabilitation continues. Expect minimal delays during the day.

Summer Street Paving & Sidewalk Replacement: Crews will continue installing granite curbing, paving sidewalks, loaming and seeding. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect during the day time hours. Police detail officers will be on-site. Expect delays.

Street Sweeping – Area B: The Highway Division will street sweep Area B on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. NO PARKING will be allowed from 9 AM to Noon. Vehicles parked on the street will be ticketed and towed. The following streets will be swept during this operation: Avon Street, Bethany Road (#4-56), Bridges Street, Bridges Street Extension, Cedar Street, Charles Street, Claflin Street, Clifford Street, Coburn Street, Cypress Street, Hayes Street, Highland Street, Hilton Street, Mellon Street, Naples Street, Pine Street, Saucier Street, Waverly Court and Winthrop Street.

Union Ave Utilities (between Beech St. & Proctor St.): A Town hired contractor will continue saw cutting the road and begin setting up water bypass pipe on Union Ave. Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect during working hours. Police detail officers will be on-site. 

Winter Street Gas Main Relay (Eversource Gas)” Gas main relay continues. A detour plan will be in effect. Expect delays.

Worcester Road Eastbound/Rt.9 East – Water & Sewer Improvements
Night Work: Sunday (night) – Friday (morning), 9 PM to 5 AM A City hired contractor will continue installing water main on Worcester Rd. (Rt.9 East). The right lane on Rt. 9 East will be closed to traffic during working hours. Please use caution if you are traveling through the area.
