Framingham Man Charged With Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Marijuana

FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested a Framingham man early yesterday morning on Route 126 for operating a vehicle while under the influence of marijuana.

Police stopped a vehicle at 2:23 a.m. at Concord Street and Normandy Road because the vehicle had a “defective headlight,” said Framingham Police Lt. Jorge Ruiz.

The driver told police he smoked 2-3 marijuana cigarettes, said Lt Ruiz.

The arresting officer is a certified drug recognition expert, said Lt Ruiz.

Police arrested Luis Viana, 23, of 250 Franklin Street #202 in Framingham.

He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs (marijuana) and a motor vehicle lights violation.
