1 Today is the start of the long, holiday weekend.

City Hall will close at 2:30 p.m. today.

Framingham Public Library will close today at 5 p.m. The libraries will be closed on Saturday, August 31, Sunday, Sept. 1 and Monday, Sept. 2.

2. Springdale Beer is hosting a double can release and ice cream party at its Barrel Room! They be scooping up some fresh flavors and celebrating two crazy collaborations that both drop today!

AWAY MISSION is a fruited spruce tip IPA brewed in collaboration with Zero Gravity Craft Brewery. This 6.5% ABV Star Trek-inspired ale is brewed with raspberries and handpicked spruce tips both teams foraged in the Green Mountains earlier this year. Cans and draft available this Friday at our place, with very limited distribution starting next week!

STAY FROSTY is a milkshake double IPA brewed in collaboration with Great Notion Brewing. This 7.5% ABV monster is brewed with apricot, pear, vanilla, peach, and lactose. Cans and draft available this Friday at the Barrel Room only!

Cans and draft will be available at noon, and ice cream serving starts at 4 p.m. Admission and ice cream are free, so come kick off your Labor Day weekend with some great beer!

3. Matilda Empanada will be at Exhibit A Brewing Company today from 5 to 9 p.m. Stop by the beer garden.
