Marguerite Vicars, 85, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Saturday August 24, 2019.
Born in Boston, Marguerite was the daughter of the late Robert & Mathilda Sanderson.
Marguerite raised her children in Brookline, enjoyed a good bingo game, visiting with friends, and worked for many years as a nanny.
Like all matriarch’s she, “was the cook, the hostess, the comforter, and the keeper of all the mysterious secrets for how to do just about everything.”
She is survived by her children, Robert Denman of PA, Richard Denman & his wife Noemi of CA, LeeAnn Roberts & her husband Terry of Worcester, Devon Clemmons & his wife Jaqueline of Framingham, and Mathilda Clemmons of Framingham.
Marguerite was the beloved grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, her sister Ann Bobeck of MI, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert, Richard & Bernice.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marguerite’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11. Lincoln St. Framingham on Monday, August 26 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Followed by private graveside services.
