Truck Knocks Out Power; Shuts Down Beer Production

FRAMINGHAM – A large truck knocked out power to Exhibit A Brewing Company and parts of the neighborhood this afternoon, August 19.

A large truck “hit some power lines outside our brewery today, and took out two transformers,” said Exhibit A general manager Kelsey Roth.

The truck disrupted power in the neighborhood around 1:40 p.m.

“Eversource is saying 24 hours at the earliest for getting our power back on, but more realistically 2 days,” said Roth to SOURCE.

Police were called to the scene for the truck, that was not delivering to the brewery.

“We had to shut down production for the day. We just got a generator in that will keep our vital systems running. Hopefully, no beer will be lost,” said Roth.

Luckily, the taproom is closed today and tomorrow, normally.

Most of the neighborhood has had power restored, but the Brewery is still out. Eversource is reporting about a dozen customers without power, as of 5 p.m.
