UPDATE: 5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Friday, August 16, 2019

1  Both the main Framingham Public Library and the Christa McAuliffe library branch will be closed today for a staff day.

The Project Bread free lunch program still will be offered at the main library from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Costin room for children 18 and under. Enter through the Costin room door on the Lexington Street side.

2. UPDATE – due to the threat of mosquitoes – the concert will end early tonight at 7:30 p.m.


Tonight is the final Framingham Parks & Recreation summer concert. This is actually a makeup date from a rain out in July. Scheduled to perform from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Framingham Centre Common is Little Red Jump, blues & swing band.

3. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has nothing on her schedule today. but tomorrow she will hold a coffee with the public and attend a ribbon-cutting event.

4. It’s ice cream night at T.C. Scoops at Exhibit A Brewing in Framingham. Fun starts at 5 p.m.

5. Tryouts for Framingham High School football begin today.
