UPDATE: Man Shot In Head in Central Street Shooting; No Arrest

FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police are at the scene of a shooting tonight, August 13 after 9 p.m., confirmed Framingham Police Lt. Patricia Grigas.

The shooting was reported at 524 Central Street.

Report has one person shot in the head, according to first responders.

He is alert, conscious, and has a non-life threatening injury, said Lt. Grigas.

The man shot was transported to a hospital in Boston, said Lt. Grigas.

It was not random, said Lt. Grigas.

The suspect fled the scene and is wanted. No description has been released.

The road is closed at that area of Central Street. Expect delays. (It re-opened on Wednesday.)

More than 15 police officers responded to the incident.

Police have made no arrest, as of 9:30 a.m. August 14.

“The events that occurred last night highlight why it is important to this City for the men and women of the Framingham Police Officers Union to proactively get guns out of the hands of drug dealers and those who carry them illegally,” said Union President Ryan Porter this morning, August 14.
