5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Tuesday, August 13, 2019

1  According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will hold, an office hour with the public today from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building.

2. The Callahan Center hosts Romantic Piano from Beethoven to Brahams today at 6 p.m. Thee performance is free.

3. CITY OF FRAMINGHAM meetings:

  • Framingham City Council meeting at 7:15 p.m. in the Memorial Building
  • Framingham Library Trustees meeting at 7;15 p.m.

4. The City of Framingham is hosting a workshop for those interesting in serving the city on volunteer boards,commissions, and committees. There will be a panel discussion with current appointees and Framingham representatives from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building detailing the application process, helpful tips, and information on the work they do on behalf of the city.

5. The City’s three public beaches are open today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. They are Lake Waushakum, Saxonville Beach and Learneds Pond in the Warren-Oakes neighborhood.

Beach tags are required for entrance or you can purchase a one-day pass at $3.

The beach will close for the summer on Thursday, August 15.
