Traffic Alert: Construction in Framingham Week of August 11

FRAMINGHAM – Below are a list of road and utility project that could delay your travels in the City of Framingham.

Some projects are weather permitting.

Beaver Street Bridge: Utility companies will continue re-locating overhead wires on Beaver Street. Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern in effect.  Expect minor delays.

Edgell Road Water Main Replacement: Night work: Sunday-Thursday, 9 PM to 5 AM Final trench paving. Southbound traffic will be detoured at Water St.

Edgell Road/Central Street Intersection Utilities: Water main installation will continue on Edgell Road. Once water main work is completed, the contractor will begin to de-mobilize the temporary water by-pass. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect at times during the day. Police detail officers will be on-site.

Fenwick Circle Paving: Utility castings and driveway apron adjustments are tentatively scheduled to begin in anticipation for paving. Fenwick Circle will be accessible to local and emergency traffic during paving operations.

Fountain Street Roadway Improvements: Fence installation will begin, curbing and sidewalk work will continue. Utility casting adjustments will be made in preparation for paving. Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect during the day time hours. Police detail officers will be on-site.

North Concord Street Road & Sidewalk Improvements: Curbing and sidewalk work will continue on North Concord Street. Northbound traffic will be detoured via A Street. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect south of A Street.

Salem End Road Bridge Rehabilitation: Bridge rehabilitation continues. Expect minimal delays during the day.

Summer Street Paving & Sidewalk Replacement: Sidewalk and curbing installation will continue. Two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect during the day time hours. Police detail officers will be on-site.

Street Sweeping: The Highway Division will street sweep AREA B<https://www.framinghamma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/28672/New-Urban-Sweeping-Zone-B-w-Names?bidId=> on Tuesday, August 13. NO PARKING will be allowed from 9 a.m. to Noon. Vehicles parked on the street will be ticketed and towed.

The following streets will be swept: Avon Street, Bethany Road (#4-56), Bridges Street, Bridges Street Extension, Cedar Street, Charles Street, Claflin Street, Clifford Street, Coburn Street, Cypress Street, Hayes Street, Highland Street, Hilton Street, Mellon Street, Naples Street, Pine Street, Saucier Street, Waverly Court and Winthrop Street.

Winter Street Gas Main Relay (Eversource Gas): Gas main relay continues. Detour will be in effect. Expect delays.

Worcester Road Eastbound/Rt.9 East – Water & Sewer Improvements
Night work: Sunday (night) – Friday (morning), 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A Town hired contractor will continue installing water by-pass and digging test pits on Rt. 9 East. Detour plans will be in effect when the contractor is working at the intersection of RT. 9-Eastbound/East Ramp Concord St.
Rt. 9 East right lane will be closed to traffic during working hours. Please use caution if you are traveling through the area.
