5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Friday, August 9, 2019

1 The City’s three public beaches are open today and all weekend from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. They are Lake Waushakum, Saxonville Beach and Learneds Pond in the Warren-Oakes neighborhood.

Beach tags are required for entrance or you can purchase a one-day pass at $3.

The beach will close for the summer on Thursday, August 15.

2. Concert on the Common tonight at 6. The free concert is produced by Framingham Parks & Recreation. Performing is Back Pages, a classic rock band.

The library’s bookmobile is scheduled to be at the concert from 6 to 7 p.m.

The final concert of the summer is next week, August 16.

3. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events today.

4. It’s taco Friday at Exhibit A Brewing Company in Framingham. Streat Food RX will have its food truck there tonight fro 5 to 9. Check out the new beer garden too!!

5. The Mill Contemporary Art Studios host an open house on the second Friday of each month. The 2 Central Street studios will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Click here for more details.
