Man Arrested At Framingham Crash Scene on Charges of Cocaine & Marijuana Distribution

FRAMINGHAM – Police arrested a Dorchester man at a crash scene yesterday, August 1, on Essex and Grant Street in Framingham.

Police responded to a vehicle crash at Essex and Grant Street at 8:49 Thursday night.

Police were informed that after the crash, another driver, not involved in the crash, was observed taking something from the vehicle in the crash, and putting it in the trunk of his vehicle.

Police searched the vehicle and found “open container of alcohol in the vehicle,” said Framingham Lt Patricia Grigas. 

“Upon further investigation, Police found items to be used in drug sale/distribution in the trunk of the vehicle as well as the passenger compartment,” said Lt. Grigas.

At 9:50 p.m. Police arrested Amandio Ferreira, 22, of 286 Fuller Street in Dorchester.

He was charged with possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute (cocaine) and possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute (marijuana).

Ferreira was arraigned in Framingham District Court today, August 2.

Judge David Cunis released him without bail.

The Grant and Essex Street crash is still under investigation, by Framingham Police.

A second individual, not involved in the crash, was also arrested at the scene.
