FRAMINGHAM – Natick firefighters, and firefighters from several MetroWest communities had been on the scene of an 8-alarm fire in downtown Natick for hours today, July 22.
Jessica Forshner wanted to do something to help. She called Wegmans at the Natick Mall, to order food from the catering department, for firefighters.
When she arrived to pick up the food to deliver it, “Wegmans offered to donate the tray I ordered, threw in extra food, and took it upon themselves to cook and donate a ton of food too, for the first responders,” said Forshner.
“From growing up in Natick we have so many friends that are first responders in town so our first thought when something like this happens is, what can we do to help,” she said.
“I might have been the one who picked it up at Wegmans, but many friends from growing up were part of the decision to help,” said the Natick resident and mom.
