Ashland Swears In New Police Officer

ASHLAND – The Town of Ashland swore in a new police officer, today, July 22.

Officer Michael Snyder was sworn in by Ashland Town Clerk Tara Ward in a ceremony at Town Hall, with the Police Chief and the Town Manager.

Officer Snyder came to Ashland Police as a civil service lateral transfer from the Lee Police Department in Massachusetts.

Officer Snyder, who is academy trained and has several years of experience as a Police Officer, will now complete several weeks of field training with a field training officer, said Ashland Police.

Upon successful completion, he will be assigned to a permanent shift for solo patrol duties.
