Photo of the Day: Ax-Citing Ribbon Cutting For New Saxonville Fire Station

FRAMINGHAM – The last time Saxonville had a new fire station it was in the 1890s.

So the ribbon cutting for the new Saxonvillefire station on A Street, needed something special.

Fire Chief Joseph Hicks used one of the axes from the fire department’s honor guard to cut the ribbon for the new fire station this morning, July 17.

The station is now officially open, and the Watson Place station has been closed.
