NATICK – Natick Public Library is advertising for “progressive, creative and energetic assistant director” for the Morse Institute Library.
The salary range for this position is between $60,000-$85,000.
“The Morse is considered one of the jewels of the MetroWest Minuteman Library Network, and offers robust programming to the 33,000+ inhabitants of Natick. The FY 2020 budget is $2,271,866
with annual circulation over half a million items. The library has a professional staff comprised of 56 full and part-time represented employees,” said the job posting.
The candidate should have a “Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited graduate school, and a Certificate of Professional Librarianship issued by the MBLC. In addition, he/she must have a minimum of five (5) or more years of progressively responsible public library experience including, three (3) or more years of supervisory experience. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are a must, along with collective bargaining, and strong budgetary management experience.”
