1 The City will open the new Saxonville fire station today at 9 a.m.

The former station on Watson Place will close and the new fire station on A Street will open. The station is located next to Framingham High School.

2. Framingham Frogs co-ed swim team will host the Medfield Marlins tonight at 6 at Keefe Technical’s pool. The Frogs are undefeated at 4-0, after a big win over Walpole on Tuesday night.

3. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, she will attend the opening of the new fire station and participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Last night, Mayor Yvonne Spicer attended the NAACP Middlesex branch community outreach meeting.

Senate President Karen Spilka and State Senator Jamie Eldridge also attended.

4. Framingham MEETING:

  • Framingham School Committee meeting at 7 p.m. in the Blumer Community room at the Memorial Building.

5. Lake Waushakum beach failed a water quality test, thus swimming at that beach is prohibited until further notice. Both Learneds Pond and Saxonville Beach are open.
