1 Lights For Liberty will take place tonight across the nation, and at the steps of the Memorial Building, in downtown Framingham tonight.

2. CANCELLED due to weather — the Framingham Parks & Recreation summer concert series continues tonight at 6:30 p.m. on the Framingham Centre Common. (Rescheduled to August 16)

Scheduled to perform the free 2-hour concert tonight is Little Red Jump, blues & swing band.

3. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, she plans to attend the funeral for the late Brockton Mayor, who died suddenly last week.

The Mayor is also expected to speak at the Lights For Liberty event.

Just a reminder, City Hall will close today at 2 p.m.

4. The Framingham Frogs, the city’s co-ed summer swim team had its first away swim meet of the season last night in Norwood. The Frogs won, and are now 3-0 this season.

5. The Framingham Public Library and Project Bread have teamed up to provide a free lunch for all children under age 18 this summer. Free lunch today from noon to 2 p.m. at the main Framingham Public Library.
