MetroWest Medical Center’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Viswanathan Wins Award

FRAMINGHAM – MetroWest Medical Center Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sowmya Viswanathan was named as one of 50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business. She is also the CMO of Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, both are owned by Tenet.

Dr. Viswanathan attended the annual Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award Gala in New York City, where she was presented her award.

“I feel greatly honored and humbled to receive this prestigious award, said Dr. Viswanathan. “I am proud to represent Saint Vincent Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center in Massachusetts, and now, I am able to showcase these hospitals and their services to an elite group of Asian American business leaders”.

The 2019 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award Gala includes a wide array of Asian ethnicities that represent a microcosm of Asian American business owners, professionals and corporate executives across the United States.

The award committee identifies and selects outstanding leaders who have built a successful business or who have distinguished themselves in their community.

This year, 800 successful Asian Americans representing over 50 industries and professions were honored.

Over 600 leading business, political and civic leaders attended the annual award gala to pay tribute to the outstanding entrepreneurs and corporate executives in the Asian American business community from across the United States.
