5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Thursday, July 11, 2019

1 The Framingham History Center kicks off its 7th season of Summertime on the Common today at 10:30 a.m. with AMC’s Outdoor RX.

2. Framingham Farmers’ Market is today from noon to 5:30 p.m. on the Framingham Centre Common.

Stop by the Moo Bus from Eastleigh Farm and have an ice cream.

3. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, she has no public events today, however the Mayor is expected to be at the first Welcoming Framingham meeting (see below).

Framingham MEETING:

  • The Ad hoc Callahan Center study group will hold its inaugural meeting today at 9 a.m. at the Memorial Building.
  • Welcoming Framingham Task Force has its first meeting today at 3 p.m. in the Ablondi room at the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham Police Advisory Committee has a meeting at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Building
  • City Council’s environmental & sustainability subcommittee has a meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in the Blumer Community room in the Memorial Building. On the agenda is a proposed noise ordinance.
  • Framingham Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building.

4. The Framingham Frogs, the city’s co-ed summer swim team, has its first away meet of the season. The Frogs travel to Norwood looking to remain undefeated. The team is now 2-0.

5. The Framingham Public Library and Amazing Things Arts Center is teaming up again to produce an outdoor jazz concert series at the Christa McAuliffe Library branch on Water Street. The first free concert is tonight.
