5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, July 8, 2019

1 Tomorrow, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will hold a public hearing on July 9 at 7 p.m. in the Ablondi room to discuss her proposed rate increase for the water and sewer rates. The public is invited to provide comment on the proposed 2.5% increase.

2. Thanks to Project Bread, students age 18 and younger can get a free lunch today at the main Framingham Library from noon to 2 p.m.

While you are there, sign up for the library’s summer reading program.

3. Framingham Meetings:

Framingham License Commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building

Framingham Cultural Council will meet and elect new officers tonight at the Memorial Building at 7 p.m.

4. July is National Parks & Recreation month. Go explore one of the city’s parks, including my favorite Cushing Memorial Park.

5. The City of Framingham’s three public beaches are open today until 7 p.m. There is a fee to access the beach. Click here for more details.
