BOSTON – Daniel Van Auken of Natick has been named to the 2018-19 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Conference Team.
He is a junior on the golf team.
In order to be eligible for the league’s academic all-conference squad, a student must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have reached second-year academic status.
Van Auken was a two-sport athlete at Natick High, earning varsity letters on the volleyball and track & field teams. He led the volleyball team to the postseason all three seasons he played varsity including his senior campaign when he was named a team captain.
Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 13 member institutions and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region.
Each year, the GNAC sponsors and administers 20 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunities and community involvement.
