Volunteers Needed To Build A New Playground at McCarthy Elementary School


FRAMINGHAM – McCarthy Elementary School will be getting a new playground this summer.

About 75 community volunteers are needed, along with volunteers from KaBOOM! and Sierra to complete the playground this summer.

In the past couple of years, new playgrounds have been built by volunteers at Barbieri Elementary, Dunning Elementary, and for Hoops & Homework.

Volunteers are needed on Thursday, August 1 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt.

The playground build will happen rain or shine.

Youths may not participate in areas of active construction

There are Prep days scheduled for July 30-31.

The playground build will start on August 1, with a ribbon cutting ceremony planned for 2:30 p.m.
