FRAMINGHAM – Lorraine Coffin, 61, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Friday, June 21, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Michelina (Riggillo) Coffin and the late Edwin L. Coffin, Sr.
Lorraine was raised and educated in the North End attending St. Mary’s School and graduating from Charlestown High School.
She worked for many years at Lechmere in Framingham, and later Staples and Fresenius Medical Care as a Payroll Supervisor.
Sweet and kind with a heart of gold, Lorraine loved all things Disney, and at odds with her New England heritage, she was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.
Her pride and joy were her family and beside her mother Michelina, Lorraine is survived by her sisters, Debra Coffin of Marlborough, Cheryl Tranghese& her husband Frank of Framingham, and Gail Coffin & her husband Mannie Corrado of Framingham, her nieces and nephews, Gerald Scaparotti, Ruchelle Scaparotti, Frank Tranghese, Jr., Alexandra Tranghese, Cheyenne Corrado, Isabella Scaparotti, Anthony Scaparotti, Nicholas Scaparotti, Eric Miller, Nicole Miller, Elijah Miller, and Jackson Corrado. Lorraine was predeceased by her father Edwin Coffin, Sr., her brother Edwin Coffin, Jr., and her nephew Matthew Coffin.
Family and friends will honor and remember Lorraine’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street in Framingham on Tuesday, June 25 from 4 – 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be celebrated on Wednesday morning in St. Michael’s Cemetery, 500 Canterbury St. Roslindale at 11 a.m.
Interment will immediately follow.
