5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, June 10

1 MetroWest Medical Center is trying to combat hunger in Framingham & Natick.

The Center’s goal is to provide healthy breakfasts during the summer through the Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive benefitting Pearl Street Cupboard and Café in Framingham and A Place to Turn Emergency Food Pantry in Natick. The drive runs through Friday, June 14.

2. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer is scheduled to be in a Braintree this morning for a meeting on the commuter rail.

She will also meet with individual City Councilors today.

3. This is National Men’s Health Week. It ends on Father’s Day.

4. City of Framingham Meetings:

  • Framingham Housing Authority meets at 5 p.m. at the O’Grady Administration Building
  • Framingham License Commission meets at 7 p.m. in the Ablondi room at the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham Library Trustees meets at 7 p.m. at the main Framingham Library
  • Framingham Strategic Initiative & Financial Oversight Committee – meets at 7 p.m. in the Blumer Community room in the Memorial Building.

5. Today is the last day to register for a Framingham Public School bus for tyour son or daughter for the 2019-2020 school year.
