FRAMINGHAM — The orchestras from McCarthy Elementary, Cameron Middle, Fuller Middle, and Walsh Middle, and Framingham High all gathered together last night, June 4, to put on their annual spring concert.
The event took place at the Framingham High School auditorium and began with three pieces from McCarthy Elementary.
Director Kelsey O’Hare shared her gratitude and admiration for the students and all the hard work they did to prepare for the night.
Next, all three middle schools took to the stage at once, along with some help from a few high school students, to perform five pieces.
Director Nicole Casinghino took time to recognize all the eighth graders from each middle before performing the eighth grade only piece, Canon in D. Casinghino also explained that all the middle schoolers arrived at the high school early yesterday morning and rehearsed all day. Their hard work definitely paid off!
The Framingham High School Orchestra then ended the night with two pieces. Their last piece was even set to an old PBS cartoon.
Director Andrew Jasinski mentioned how difficult it is to do this since the music must be matched second-by-second to the video, but the students were able to pull off this demanding feat.
