FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham man had the honor of spray painting home plate at historic Fenway park on Memorial Day.
Harvey Chafitz was selected for the honor as a retired veteran.
“It was a Memorial Day event that honored Veterans including all those that worked at Fenway, Veterans that served, as well as those that gave their lives for the Country. I was chosen as a Retired Veteran,” said Chafitz.
Chafitz spent 8 years of active duty in the U.S. Army and more than 15 years in the Army reserves, before retiring at the rank of Lt. Colonel.
