Framingham Woman Held Without Bail After Memorial Day Stabbing

FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham woman accused of stabbing another woman in the stomach on Memorial Day in Framingham has been ordered held without bail.

Devonrick Schouten of Union Avenue in Framingham was arraigned today, May 28, in Framingham District Court on charges of attempted murder and assault and battery by a means on a dangerous weapon.

The charges stem from a stabbing in Framingham on Memorial Day.

Early Memorial Day morning police and fire responded to 154 Union Avenue and discovered a woman with a knife in her abdomen.

The woman was transported to UMass Medical Center in Worcester via a medical helicopter. She is expected to survive.

This is not the first time Schouten was arrested for a stabbing.

In September 2016, Schouten was arrested and charged in another stabbing on Cape Cod. She tried to stab a woman in the stomach with the broken neck of a beer bottle.
