1 Today is national hamburger day!

2. The Callahan Center hosts “AMERICA’S GREAT SONGWRITERS PART 1: GEORGE GERSHWIN at 6 p.m. tonight with Ross Petot. Petot is one of the Boston area’s busiest pianists and is well known to audiences throughout New England as a soloist and as a band member. He has taught piano and performed in the U.S. and abroad for more than 30 years.


3. Framingham Mayor Yvonne Spicer, according to her public calendar, will meet with the public today in the Ablondi room at the Memorial Building from 5 to 6 p.m. No appointment is needed.

4. Framingham meetings today:

  • Framingham School Committee’s policy subcommittee is scheduled to meet today at 4:30 p.m. in City Hall.
  • Framingham City Council’s finance subcommittee is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Blummer room in the Memorial Building
  • Framingham Traffic Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building.

5. The Amazing Things Arts Center will host the Jazz Jam Show tonight at 8 p.m.
