NORWELL – Framingham High senior captain Grace Poku ran “4 unbelievable races” said head coach Chris Collins, about her effort at the state meet on Saturday.
She broke both the 100 meters and 200 meters Framingham High outdoor track records at the meet, said Collins.
In the preliminaries of the 100 dash, she finished in 12.33 seconds. The time was a new school record and the best time of the day, said Collins.
In the finals, she ran a 12.39 race losing a photo finish to place second to Natick’s Gerdes, said Collins.
In the 200-meter race finals, she finished in 25.72 seconds, to finish in fifth place and set another Framingham High School record, said Collins.
“Graces name says it all. She runs a power built from tremendous effort but with beautiful form,” said Collins.
“As a coach, she makes coming to work very easy. She’s the type of person you want to do anything you can to help,” said Collins.
