4 Framingham High Records Set at the State Track Meet

NORWELL – Framingham High set four high school records, and one runner qualified for nationals, at the state track meet at Norwell High on Saturday, May 25.

Senior captain Ben Burgess set a high school record and finished second in the 2-mile event. His time qualified him for the all-state meet as well as nationals, said head coach Chris Collins.

Senior captain Grace Poku finished second in the 100 and 5th in the 200, setting Framingham high records in both events, said Collins.

Sophomore Sophie Albright set a Framingham High record in the high jump and finished second in the state with a jump of 5-feet, 8-inches, said Collins.

Freshman Laura Dube ran a 11:54 minute 2-mile and won her heat.

She continues “to shatter her best times with every race,” said Collins.

Her time is the “third best time in FHS recorded history as a freshman,” said Collins.
