Dunning Elementary Announces New Assistant Principal

FRAMINGHAM – Dunning Elementary Principal Michele Schecter announced today, May 24, Kathie Lasky as the new Assistant Principal at  Dunning Elementary.

Lasky comes to Dunning with a variety of teaching and administrative experiences.  She is currently an Inclusion Facilitator/K-5 at Zervas Elementary School in Waban, said the principal.

She is also Teacher in Charge in the absence of the Principal.  

Previous to Waban, she was the Language Arts Coordinator K-5 and Special Education Teacher 2-5 at the AMIT Community Day School, Dunwoody, Georgia. She has taught pre-school, kindergarten, first, third and fifth grade.  

Lasky graduated from Suffolk University with a Bachelor of Arts and earned a Master of Arts in Education from Lesley University. She also has a Master of Arts in Education: Organizational Management Leadership from Endicott College//EDCO Educational Leadership Institute.

She will meet families and staff on Tuesday, June 4 at 3:30 – 4:30 in the Dunning Media Center.  

She will also be at the final PTO meeting, which is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5th at 6:30 p.m.

“I feel confident that Ms. Lasky’s leadership capabilities and positive energy will be an excellent match for the Dunning community,” said Principal Schecter.
