FRAMINGHAM – For the first time, Walsh Middle School took home the trophy at the Framingham Homework Center’s middle school spelling bee.
The first two years, the Christa McAuliffe Charter School won the trophy, then Fuller Middle, and for the last two years Cameron Middle owned the trophy.
The defending champions were in the 6th Annual Spelling Bee tonight, May 23, but the trio lost in the opening round.
The winners in 2019 were from Walsh Middle School. They were seventh graders Andrea Kaluma, Gordon Leaver, and Nestor Morales-Sanchez.
