Framingham Recycles: Never Miss Your Waste Collection Day Again

Editor’s Note: This is a new weekly column by the Recycling Coordinator for the City of Framingham. Residents can submit questions to Recycling Coordinator Stephen Sarnosky via SOURCE at editor@FraminghamSource.com

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Department of Public Works launched its mobile app, FramWorks powered by Recollect to make it even easier for residents to stay connected about City waste and recycling programs and DPW’s urban street sweeping days.

Framingham residents who have City services can download the mobile app frameworks for free in Google Play or Apple Store or locate it in the Department of Public Works Sanitation website.

In the mobile app, you’ll find the refuse, recycling, and special pickup collection schedules specific to your home address.

The mobile app can also remind you of your collection days and urban street sweeping information specific to the street you live on.

Also in the app, you can enter a search to find out if material can be reused,
recycled, composted or disposed.

If you don’t have an Android or Apple smartphone, you can visit the DPW’s Sanitation website, which contains the Waste Wizard widget to find out if a material can be reused, recycled, composted or disposed.

When using the Waste Wizard, you can sign up for waste collection reminders by email, phone call, or text message, download your collection schedule into your iCal, Google calendar, or Microsoft Outlook calendar.

Enter your urban street address to find out when your street will be swept.

Please visit us at www.FraminghamMA/recycle to get all the information you need to get started.
