He stated that the Framingham Police stated that there is no credible evidence of a threat. Either the superintendent is in denial or myopic in this statement.
The physical threat is only part of this threat. The emotional threat can be as strong or stronger than that of the physical threat.
When students and staff are concerned about being in the school, learning is impaired. In the past several months there have been many racist and anti-Semitic incidents reported in the Framingham schools.
These incidents adversely effect the ability of the schools to provide a good education for our students and is a disservice to them and to the people of the city. The superintendent and school department must acknowledge these incident and their effects both physical and emotional, and use them as a basis to correct the problems.
We as citizens of this city hired the school department to provide a good education to our children.
The education is not just the knowledge retained but providing an environment that supports learning without this the schools will fail.
