New School Hours in Framingham For 2019-2020

FRAMINGHAM – In January, the Framingham School Committee approved a new 3-year contract for the Framingham Teachers Association Unit A.

The newly-negotiated Unit A Contract changed the hours for elementary schools in an attempt to increase the instructional time for our elementary students and establish equity among all schools and levels.

In developing the new bell schedules for all schools, we have taken input and reviewed concerns from the community, said Framingham Superintendent Bob Tremblay.

Furthermore, we examined transportation challenges, coordinated with St. Bridget’s School and Christa McAuliffe Public Charter School, and sought schedule innovations in an attempt to resolve transportation issues around late school bus arrivals and departures, said Superintendent Tremblay.

The high school and the middle school hours are staying the same but there are new elementary school hours for the 2019-2020 school year.
