NATICK – A Natick man, 23, was indicted by a Middlesex County grand jury on multiple weapons charges, stemming from an arrest in September 2018.
Indicted was Jared Newhall-Thayer, 23, of Natick.
The charges were possession of a firearm without a license (2 counts), possession of a large capacity feeding device (2 counts), and possession of ammunition (2 counts).
Natick police confiscated a Bushmaster Semiautomatic M4 rifle from the minivan of Newhall-Thayer on Sept. 29. he had left the banned weapon in the unlocked minivan parked in front of his house on West Central Street.
Police received a tip from a youth who saw what he thought was a machine gun in the minivan.
The Middlesex County Assistant District Attorney prosecuting the case is Yashmeen Desai.
